Dear Friends,

I want to thank everyone who has called and written my mom, Samantha and myself after the loss of my dad. We are totally amazed by the number people who were so affected by, inspired by, and felt such love for my dad. Everyone says the same thing: that he was just larger than life. I am truly humbled by the number of people who say Dad changed their life.

It is nearly unbearable to think that our family will have to go on without Dad. He was the heart of everything for us. He created every adventure, he planned every event and trip and holiday, he made every time we were together incredible. He KNEW you have seize every day, you might not have forever. I have ALWAYS known how fortunate our family was, but he was truly greater than even I knew.

My dad would have wanted me to add, so many of you have suffered so many worse tragedies than this, and we are so grateful for your love and support. We never knew how hard it is to suddenly lose someone you love so much.

Dad had no regrets in his life; he was perpetually amazed by how fortunate we all were and how blessed he was. He never knew what happened or that he was leaving us. Because of him we will go on; he would have been SO MAD if he knew this was affecting the lives of his four beloved grandsons. Because of him I will try every day to give them what he gave me.

I loved my dad more than words can express. He was just simply the best.
